Footnotes
LYELL'S SONG stalked two wide between rivals to the far turn, moved to the rail midway around the far turn, tipped out at the top of the lane, drew alongside DEL MAR JERRY in deep stretch and got up at the wire. DEL MAR JERRY showed the way in the two path, moved to the rail on the far turn, led into deep stretch, came under threat from LYELL'S SONG and got nailed on the line. CLOUSEAU chased five wide into the first turn from off the pace then moved into the two path around the bend, traveled along the inside into the far turn, angled four wide around the bend, closed well in the lane and earned the show honors. BETTER THAN GOLD trailed six wide into the first turn, remained wide into the backstretch, stayed off the rail to the far turn, came five wide into the drive and kept on to earn a minor award. FIRMUS stalked four deep to the far turn, asked three deep around that bend and weakened. MINING DISTRICT stalked outside a pair of rivals, chased two wide into the lane and lacked the needed response. MIRACLE MARK tracked three wide early, remained three wide into the second bend, angled to the two path and weakened. SPEEDY WILSON settled in the four path, drew closer four then five wide on the second bend and flattened out. WAYNE THE BRAIN stalked the leader inside a trio of rivals, got put in tight at the five-sixteenths pole, dropped back to last and tired in the lane.
