Footnotes
AH JEEZ sat off the pace outside a rival, drew closer outside runners on the backstretch, was on the move four then three deep on the second bend, challenged the leader in upper stretch, took over past the eighth pole and drove clear in the final sixteenth. LIVING LIFE settled inside, drew closer from off the rail in the middle stages, angled five wide around the far turn, closed well through the lane and got up for second. MALIBU COAST broke a step slow, raced up close on the inside, tipped two wide and launched a bid at the quarter pole, challenged between runners in upper stretch and failed to summon the needed late kick in deep stretch. ZALAMO (FR) unhurried from outside, moved to the two path traveling towards the rear, steered out on the far turn, came five wide into the stretch, came with a late run and missed third. CALM SEA dueled from inside then cleared around the first turn, took pressure at the half-mile pole, moved clear at the five-sixteenths marker, challenged by outer rivals in upper stretch, clung to the lead at the eighth pole and flattened out once overtaken. DEALERS SPECIAL stalked between runners, got crowded into the first turn, remained in the two path to the second bend, tipped out to the four path on the far turn and lacked a rally. CITY EXILE (GB) traveled in mid-pack on the inside, ridden along the rail around the far turn, chased under left handed in the lane but flattened out in the late stages. PHOSPHORESCENCE (FR) dueled from outside then ceded command around the first turn, applied pressure from outside at the half-mile pole, failed to keep up with the leader at the five-sixteenths marker, chased two then three wide to the stretch and flattened out. UNCLE HAPPY trailed two wide into the first turn then raced outside a rival at the back, remained in the two path to the stretch and passed tired rivals. SMOOTH SALUTE broke out a bit to lose a step, saved ground at the back, ran into mild traffic at the three-sixteenths pole and moved out to go around tired rivals. RIMPROTECTOR forwardly placed four deep early, started to weaken four then three deep on the far turn and faded in the drive. KEEP MOVIN' ON raced up close in three path outside rivals, got shuffled back on the far turn, angled to the rail and tired.
