By subscription of $500 each, which shall accompany the nomination Closed Thursday August 27,2026 with 14 nominations or by supplementary nomination of $3,000 each by the closing time of entries. $5,000 to start, with $3 00,000 Guaranteed, of which $180,000 to first, $60,000 to second, $36,000 to third, $18,000 to fourth and $6,000 to fifth. Weights: Colts and Geldings, 124 lbs.; Fillies, 121 lbs. Non-winners of $50,000 allowed 2 lbs.; $30,000 other than auction race orc laiming 4 lbs. High weights preferred. Total non-claiming purse earnings will determine the order of preference for horses of equal status. The Del Mar Futurity has been selected as a Breeders' Cup Dirt Dozen Bonus Series Race for the $2 million Breedee rs' Cup Juvenile on October 30, 2026 at Keeneland. The nominated winner of the Del Mar Futurity will receive a credit of $30,000 toward entry fees into the 2026 Breeders' Cup Juvenile, 2nd place will receive a $15,000 credit toward entry fees and 3rd plac e will receive $7,500 credit toward entry fees. A trophy will be presented to the winning owner.

HUGHES bumped DANG SON leaving the gate, fought between rivals for early command then dueled outside HIGH PRONTO up the backstretch, put head in front three deep under urging at the five-sixteenths pole, edged clear from PHONE BOOTH at the top of the lane, drew off under steady handling and was in hand approaching the wire. PHONE BOOTH stalked the top pair in the early going, launched a rail bid past the three-eighths pole, headed the leaders at the five-sixteenths pole, dueled with HUGHES with a quarter mile remaining, was no match for the winner at the top of the lane, finished willingly in the final furlong and was clearly second best. DANG SON got bumped by HUGHES in the beginning, trailed the field from well off the rail, took the turn four to five wide and gained third. DOMUS broke well, showed speed three deep then followed the top pair from outside, came under a ride four then three wide on the turn, angled in turning for home, lugged inward in upper stretch and weakened. HIGH PRONTO went up to take a slim lead over outer rivals then dueled with HUGHES up the backstretch, lost command between rivals at the five-sixteenths pole, failed to kick on with the top pair with a quarter mile remaining and tired down the lane.
