Footnotes
BOYD showed the way under pressure from outer rival early, shook free with three furlongs left to run, roused at the top of the lane, shied inward from a downturned crop and almost made contact with the rail, corrected course and was urged along to midstretch, then remained well clear while coasting in-hand through the last sixteenth. CACTUS CHARLIE came in leaving the gate, stalked the top pair from outside, went three wide into the turn, moved into second in the two path with a quarter mile remaining, was closest in pursuit of the winner entering the final furlong but could not threaten the winner in the late stages. SHARONS MAXFIELD lacked early speed, raced outside a rival at the back into the turn, entered the lane in the three path, angled out in upper stretch and rallied belatedly for the show honors. CHEROKEE NATION bumped leaving the gate, showed early foot then lost a clear path and steadied, chased from inside into the turn, lost ground around the bend, faded further in the lane but was able to earn a minor award. SENDIT MO bumped leaving the gate, hustled along early between rivals then pressed from outside, lost contact with the winner at the three-eighths pole, chased inside a rival around the bend, came two wide into the stretch and weakened. RHODES got shuffled back early, climbed while urged along well off the rail, moved into the four path for the turn, angled out and came six wide into the stretch, then failed to rally when called upon. STORMY TAPIT broke in and bumped, chased inside a rival off the pace, had to steady when running up behind a rival into the turn, saved ground then moved out in the lane and failed to menace. TRACK TIGER was hard to load behind the gate, had to take up when CACTUS CHARLIE moved in front early, tracked three wide into the turn, spun five wide into the lane and came up empty in the drive. METATE was off a step slow and lost a clear path, trailed into the turn, cut the corner into the lane and was never a factor. MAP ME SEXY chased outside a rival off the pace, went between rivals on the turn, came three wide into the lane and tired.
