Footnotes
HEY NAY NAY (IRE) raced up close in the two path, drew alongside the leader leaving the backstretch, moved up on even terms with a quarter mile remaining, kicked clear at the top of the stretch, asked left-handed with a furlong remaining and was kept busy to the wire. PLUTARCH traveled on the inside at the back of the pack, went outside a rival in the middle stages, three deep into the far turn, was on the move while angling six wide the bend, drifted in through the lane, failed to reach the winner and held second. PROLETARIAT rank on the inside early, stayed on the rail to the far turn, roused two wide leaving the bend, chased within striking distance to the sixteenth pole and finished evenly. CARO BUONO (FR) raced outside a rival near the back, continued two wide to the far turn, swung out approaching the stretch, bumped with a rival at the top of the lane, produced a mild rally and earned a minor award. CONDUCTED broke a step slow and got bumped, traveled at the back outside a rival, crept closer three deep on the backstretch, gained while angling five wide around the far turn, crowded slightly entering the lane, kept on trying down the lane and improved position. ORACLE OF PARADISE broke in and bumped, steered to the inside racing towards the rear, trailed leaving the backstretch, swung out into the lane, bumped with CARO BUONO (FR) at the top of the stretch, drifted inward and also kept on to improve position. LATER THAN PLANNED (IRE) was a had to handle early then settled in a stalking position between rivals around both turns, spun three wide into the lane and weakened. JALISCO broke in, settled off the pace along the rail, continued inside in mid-pack to the far turn, moved into range under coaxing around that bend, cut the corner into the stretch, tipped off the fence and weakened. LOVE THE PRESSURE stalked the speed outside a pair of rivals, chased four wide turning for home and faded. WON FOR LOU fractious in the gate, laid off the pace in the two path, found the rail then returned to the two path on the far turn, got floated out slightly in the lane and weakened. BORN TO ROCK unhurried in the early going on the inside, came under a ride past the three-eighths pole, trailed into the stretch, lacked room in traffic at the sixteenth pole and could not regain momentum. STAY FOR THE BOOM traveled in mid-pack two wide early, crept closer stayed off the rail on the far turn, lacked room at the eighth pole and weakened in the furlong grounds. DIRTY RICH established the front and set the tone from inside, took pressure at the seven-sixteenths pole, headed outside the quarter pole, yielded to the winner entering the lane and gave way.
