OTTIS BETTS trailed from inside early, raced two wide early on the far turn, picked up stride while angling out, came five into the stretch, flew late from the far outside and outclosed inner rivals for the victory. CAL'S GOAL traveled in mid-pack on the inside early, rounded the far turn two then three wide, rallied between runners down the lane and got outclosed by the winner. EUGENE SLEDGE took a stalking position next to the fence, ridden along into the far turn, asked right handed while closest in pursuit around the bend, moved off the fence in the lane, put in a late bid but was outkicked by the top pair. ALLEQUIN SUMMER dueled from outside then cleared around the first turn, moved inside, took pressure at the four and half furlong mark, cleared again into the far turn, opened up around the bend, showed the way clear into the final sixteenth, then weakened late and got run down by the top trio. SCATALOTADINGDONG unhurried in the opening stages and steered to the two path, weaved in then out on the far turn only to get caught in traffic and take up at the quarter pole, chased two wide into the lane, kept trying in the furlong grounds but failed to threaten. AGROWEST sat off the pace in the two path, three deep in the middle stages, came four wide into the stretch and also failed to threaten. TAMARANDO BEACH stalked two wide early on, three deep on the backstretch, chased three then two wide around the second bend and weakened in the drive. JOHN METCALFE tracked two wide around the clubhouse turn, moved up between leaving the backstretch but had to check behind a rival into the far turn, angled to the inside and hit the rail at the five-sixteenths pole, cut the corner into the stretch and failed to rally. MO DIAMANTES angled to the rail racing towards the rear, dropped back to last on the far turn, moved off the rail and came three wide into the stretch and was never a factor. LOVE THE PRESSURE dueled from inside then ceded command around the first turn, moved up to press the leader from between foes at the four and half furlong mark, failed to keep up into the far turn, dropped back around the bend and tired.
