PEPPERMINT DASH settled in the two path between rivals, came under a ride on the far turn, chased three wide into the lane, got floated out in upper stretch, challenged five deep midstretch and edged clear from MESMERIZE in the end. MESMERIZE raced keenly in hand into the first turn traveling two paths from the rail, stalked up the backstretch, roused into the lane, got herded out in upper stretch, bid four deep midstretch, drifted in a bit in the final sixteenth and got outkicked by PEPPERMINT DASH in the end. WAITING FOR YOU (GB) reserved in the early going, moved inside, saved ground through the far turn, roused at the top of the stretch, angled out at the eighth pole, rallied between rivals, bumped a couple times near the sixteenth pole and earned the show honors. WILD WEST COAST reserved two wide around the first turn, went three then four wide on the second bend, altered out a bit in upper stretch and finished willingly to round out the superfecta. SOUL SISTER pulled along the rail around the first turn, stayed inside to the far turn, eased off the rail around the far turn, went three wide into the lane, angled out and came with a late run but was not enough. DARING PURSUIT tracked in hand along the rail, angled out at the top of the lane, rallied between, bumped and steadied between rivals near the sixteenth pole and could not regain momentum. ONE SWEET GIRL was off a bit slow when shaking her head leaving the gate, trailed just off the inside early, steered out on the far turn, came four wide into the lane, angled out further and failed to menace. EGYPTIAN MISTRESS took a stalking position on the inside, hugged the rail to the stretch and weakened. LATTE LUV bumped leaving the gate, forwardly placed three then two wide early, applied pressure to the leader at the seven-sixteenths pole, got turned away at the quarter pole and weakened. MISS DONNA bumped LATTE LUV at the start, went up to take control and crossed over to the inside, pressure by LATTE LUV late on the backstretch, turned that rival away at the quarter pole, continued unopposed into the final furlong, then weakened after getting running down at the sixteenth marker. DARE GREATLY traveled three deep around the first turn, dropped back three then two wide on the second bend, eased in the lane and walked off. THERE WAS AN INQUIRY INVOLVING THE INCIDENT BETWEEN MESMERIZE, WAITING FOR YOU (GB) AND DARING PURSUIT IN THE FINAL SIXTEENTH. FOLLOWING A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS UNANIMOUSLY RULED THAT ALTHOUGH THERE WAS CONTACT BETWEEN RIVALS NO BLAME COULD BE PLACED ON A RUNNER AND THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
