Footnotes
CAMERON SLOUGH unhurried in the early going and moved to the two path, gained two then three wide on the far turn, closed in and drew alongside SHIN JIDAI (GB) with a sixteenth left to run and drove past in the final fifty yards. SHIN JIDAI (GB) stalked from inside then shifted to the two path around the clubhouse turn, challenged from outside at the five-sixteenths pole, cleared inner rival entering the lane, confronted by CAMERON SLOUGH at the sixteenth pole and could not fend off that rival. GIGGLE GIGGLE tracked the speed from the two path, came under a ride on the far turn, flattened in the lane but was able to hold third. CHEEKIEST trailed on the inside early, tipped two wide past the five-sixteenths pole, came three wide into the lane and improved position. LADY LAOBAN settled along the fence, tipped out into the lane and failed to threaten. MADEIRA WINE tracked from inside, coaxed along on the far turn while continuing to save ground, moved off the fence in upper stretch and weakened. PORT ELLEN (IRE) had the rider lose his right iron out of the gate, regained his footing past the finish line for the first time while taking the lead, crossed to the inside early on the clubhouse turn, showed the way up the backstretch, took pressure on the far turn, yielded to the winner entering the lane and weakened.
