KID CHARLEMAGNE raced up close to the outside of the pacesetter in the early going, challenged that rival at the quarter pole, took over leaving the bend and kicked clear at the top of the lane, drew off under a drive, ridden out into the final fifty yards then in hand late. CLASSICO gained control from inside, challenged by KID CHARLEMAGNE at the quarter pole, lost command shortly after, yielded to the winner at the top of the lane while beginning to drifted out, stayed on through the final furlong and held second. ANOTHER JUANITO tracked four then three wide around the first turn, coaxed along out of range on the backstretch then drew closer approaching the far turn, chased three deep then four wide into the lane and churned on to earn third. KING OF SUCCESS was fractious in the gate, came away slow, followed in range from inside, coaxed along into the far turn, chased two wide into the lane and weakened. ALMOST A SAINT came out leaving the gate, dropped well off the pace in the two path then moved inside, eased out on the far turn and came three wide into the lane and proved no menace. KIKI RIDE tracked three then two wide outside a rival on the clubhouse turn, chased between leaving the backstretch, dropped back around the far turn, angled to the inside and tired. PENSKE MOTERIAL broke out, lacked early quickness and lagged behind early, continued at the back around the far turn and failed to get involved.
