Footnotes
NAFISA dueled from outside, cleared briefly at the three-eighths pole, challenged by INTO THE HALL at the five-sixteenths pole, dueled into the lane, bumped with INTO THE HALL at t the top of the stretch, lost command into the final furlong, fought back gamely and edged outer pair in the final strides. LUBIE'S MUSIC followed in range outside a rival, took the turn two to three wide, chased within striking distance into the last sixteenth, then put in a late bid three deep and just missed. INTO THE HALL stalked the top pair from off the rail, bid three wide midway around the bend, bumped with NAFISA in upper stretch, inched ahead into the final furlong, battled to the wire and got outgamed between foes in the end. JOYFUL MISCHIEF lacked early speed, trailed into the turn, passed a rival at the quarter pole, lacked room briefly approaching the stretch, chased two wide into the lane, drifted out and passed tired rivals. STARWOOD chased from off the pace on the inside, tipped three wide around the bend, angled out further in the drive and failed to rally. NEKO asked left handed early racing near the back, traveled two wide on the turn, lacked room three wide turning for home and was never a factor. SWEET GEM tracked the top pair from inside, lost ground while easing out to the three path on the turn and faded in the drive. MAD PURSUIT dueled from inside to the turn, could not kick on with the leader at the three-eighths pole, weakened around the turn and tired down the lane.
