EMPRESS OF GRACE dueled outside SAINT MIHIEL to the turn, fought between rivals while putting a head in front around the bend, was overtaken by STANGE ADDICTION outside the eighth pole, battled back from inside, dug in late and edged the runner-up. STRANGE ADDICTION stalked the top pair outside a pair of rivals early, bid three deep on the turn, fought four wide turning for home, gained the lead in upper stretch, battled outside EMPRESS OF GRACE the final eighth pole and was outfinished in the end while clearly second best. PETITE TREAT stalked between rivals up the backstretch, chased two to three wide on the turn and was along for the show honors. SAINT MIHIEL held a narrow lead dueling inside EMPRESS OF GRACE up the backstretch, lost command fighting with a pair of rivals around the turn, asked right handed to keep up at the quarter pole, failed to kick on with the leading duo at the top of the lane and flattened to fourth. POLYTHENE PAM chased after the dueling leaders inside a couple runners, dropped back and came off the rail on the turn, then had little left for the stretch run.
