Footnotes
COLONEL COMPTON tracked four to three wide into the turn, ranged up to bid outside of the leader at the furlong grounds, forged an advantage at the sixteenth pole and edged ahead. LUCIUS VERUS set the pace along the inside, vied with an outer prompter around the turn, shook free briefly in upper stretch before being collared by an outer bidder at the furlong grounds and got bested by that one late. GRAY IS OKAY shifted out when briefly keen off of the pace into the turn, advanced in the five path turning for home then willingly sustained his rally. ARMY WILDCATTER raced forwardly two wide and between horses, stalked along the inside around the turn, got outkicked by an outer rival in upper stretch yet shifted to the four path into the final furlong and stayed on mildly. JACK CHARLES (GB) bumped with an inner foe at the start, prompted two wide, vied around the turn then gave way in upper stretch. COAL FIRED bumped with an outer foe at the start, tracked in the three path and between horses then tired. MO HAIR SAM broke a step slow then took an awkward at the start, trailed in the four path around the turn and failed to factor. HISTORIC raced close up along the inside early on, but dropped back inside of rivals into the turn, steadily faded into the lane and was eased through the final furlong.
