Footnotes
OSO DE ORO tracked four wide, inched closer approaching the far turn, bid while tucking three wide into that bend, forged an advantage with five sixteenths to go then held sway while hanging on his left lead. FLAMING RAINBOW brushed the outer stall door at the start and broke a step slow, saved ground off of the pace then sustained a rail rally to gain place in the shadow of the wire. FIND NO FAULT vied for the lead with an outer rival, then with an outer pair as OSO DE ORO bid into the far turn, yielded to that pair with five sixteenths to go, yet fought on to sustain pressure inside of the leader into the final furlong, but was kept at bay then lost place reaching the wire. TIME TO STRIKE stalked along the inside, chased in the three path around the far turn, moved out to the five path while between rivals into the lane, stayed on thereafter but needed more. WICKED GUN pressed three wide, got outmoved by an outer bidder entering the far turn, chased in the four path shortly after, fanned to the six path into the lane but yielded. INTERROGATOR vied two wide, led narrowly between horses into the far turn, got headed by his outer confronter at the five sixteenths pole then faded between horses. STELLENBOSCH stumbled at the start and dislodged his rider, galloped the circuit behind the rest then walked off after being collected by an out-rider. A STEWARDS' INQUIRY REVIEWING THE START RESULTED IN NO CHANGE TO THE ORIGINAL ORDER OF FINISH.
