ROYAL GUARD stalked from the two to three path into the backstretch, bid outside of the top pair at the quarter pole, led into the final furlong, got collared by an outer on-charging bidder late and narrowly held. TELESCOPIC pursued from midpack along the inside, then in the two path turning for home, progressed in the four path and between horses at the quarter pole, floated out six wide while continuing to advance into the final furlong, rallied to bid outside of the leader in the closing stages but missed at the wire. KING OF ASHES tracked along the inside, awaited racing room at the quarter pole, moved out to the four path in upper stretch before tipping wider into the final furlong, then ran on between horses but got outkicked. LAZLO pressed two wide, bid turning for home, bid between horses at the quarter pole, but got outkicked coming to midstretch, yielded late yet saved fourth. RAPOPORT pursued from midpack two wide and between horses, yielded around the far turn, yet regained chase along the inside at the quarter pole, improved in the three path and between horses at the furlong grounds then stayed on mildly to miss fourth. MY BOY TONY laid off of the pace two to three wide into the backstretch, chased between horses in the final furlong and was subtly put in tight late. KICKING CLEAR trailed two wide, six to four path in upper stretch then improved three wide and between horses in the final furlong. TAUNTING tracked three deep, chased floating to the five path at the quarter pole then gave way. THEODORE GEORGE saved ground well back but to no avail. JUS TOO FLY set the pace along the inside, vied with an outer rival turning for home, got headed by an outer pair entering the lane and caved.
