Footnotes
TOTALLY JUSTIFIED settled two-wide to the outside of CLASSIC GLIDE through comfortable fractions, responded when asked to kick on midway through the far turn, went a length clear at the top of the lane, and held firm from late bids on either side in the final yards. CLASSIC GLIDE reserved near the rear early, advanced through the far turn while never racing wider than the two path, improved along the inside in the stretch, and made a determined late bid, but fell short. SNEAKILY was held up after the break, moved out a path on the backstretch, then swung five-wide into the stretch, closed well but stalled when on the wrong lead, made a final try but was too late. POOKIE tucked in behind the trio contesting the pace up front, became boxed in through the far turn, angled out three-wide for the stretch run, but was outkicked in the final furlong. HEART SPIN was allowed to settle after the break and was last into the clubhouse turn, then advanced four-wide down the backstretch to be in range of the leaders heading into the far turn, continued the bid wide through that turn, then flattened out in the stretch. WINE PARTY got caught three-wide contesting the early lead into the first turn, continued on that path in a stalking position just outside of the two leaders, then weakened on the far turn, struggled to keep up with the quickening pace, and did not offer much in the stretch run. NOSHAMETOHERGAME showed good speed without being asked, made the front and held inside position with POOKIE to the outside maintaining a level position but not pushing the pace, continued on through moderate fractions along the rail through the far turn, then gave way in upper stretch.
