Footnotes
FIND NO FAULT bumped with an outer rival at the start, stalked from the two path, awaited racing room behind the leading quartet turning for home, tipped out leaving the quarter pole, took aim five deep entering the lane, gradually progressed to bid at the sixteenth pole and edged past. EL TIO brushed with an inner foe soon after the start, stalked three wide, prompted between horses with nine sixteenths to go, vied among foes around the far turn, battled while headed into the final furlong, got outkicked by a wider challenger at the sixteenth pole yet fought on to duel for place late and reclaimed that position at the wire. OUR FOREFATHERS bumped with an inner rival at the start, then was brushed and took back between horses shortly after, steadied behind foes at the thirteen sixteenths pole, recovered to track four wide into the backstretch, ranged up to bid four deep at the three furlong pole, vied turning for home, led into upper stretch but got caught by an outer bidder at the sixteenth pole, sparred for place with an inner foe thereatter but missed. NOMOLIMBO laid off of the pace three wide and between horses, then four wide around the far turn, fanned six wide into upper stretch and moved up. FLICK trailed along the inside early on, moved two wide and between horses into the backstretch, then three wide around the far turn and failed to menace. DIFFERENTIAL was bumped between horses at the start, pressed two wide, vied between rivals into and around the far turn but yielded in upper stretch. MACCHIATO set the pace along the inside, vied with a trio of outer rivals around the far turn the faded in upper stretch. LIBERTY VALANCE saved ground off of the pace to no avail.
