LORD MAJESTY chased along the inside, shifted out to the three path under rousing approaching the three furlong pole, progressed to bid four wide and between horses at the quarter pole, battled between rivals through the lane and gamely prevailed. DERBY DATE pursued from the three to four path and between horses into the turn, progressed turning for home to bid in the five path at the quarter pole, dueled outside of a pair of rivals through the final furlong but was bested and held place. COUPERIN vied three wide, forged an advantage passing the three furlong pole, got collared by an outer pair of bidders at the quarter pole, dug in to spar with them through the lane but was bested and missed place. PENROD raced off of the pace in the four to five path and outside of rivals into the turn, crept closer to offer a mild challenge six deep at the quarter pole but flattened out. AMERICAN CAUSE vied two wide and between horses but yielded to an outer quartet in upper stretch. NIP N TUCK brushed with an outer rival at the start, trailed along the inside and made little impact. SWISS GUARD brushed with an inner foe leaving the gate, vied for the lead with an outer pair into the turn, got headed leaving the three furlong pole then weakened inside of a group of foes entering the lane.
