GUANARE opted to track the early pace, loomed four wide through the turn to take command at the quarter, ducked out a path at the eighth but was only a minor inconvenience, still drew clear to be much the best. UPTURNED BRIM stalked the early pace three wide, got up for the place award late but was no match for the winner. PESO IN MY POCKET set a pressured pace between foes, took the inside through the turn gave way at the quarter, just held for the show award. AMERICAN CITY was bumped at the start, moved up to press the early pace on the inside, backed off entering the turn, showed a mild rally late on the inside but could not improve. BIGFOOT SIGHTING settled to trail entering the turn, passed tiring rivals in the stretch. SWIFT AS I AM sat behind the pace between foes, backed off through the turn, failed to menace. GAVEL trailed in the early stages, slowly advanced four wide through the turn, weakened in the stretch.
