HALF WAY THERE took command of an uncontested pace, came under pressure in the upper stretch but was able to pull away in the final sixteenth. LOUISIANA WILDLIFE raced not too far behind the pace on the inside, moved up through the turn to press the pace three wide in the upper stretch, held at bay by the winner. LACEY'S KAT settled off the pace, took hold at the seven sixteenths, made improvements four wide down the stretch to be up for the show award. GRAND ENCORE was squeezed back at the start, trailed for most, passed tiring foes down the stretch. ITS WILD AGAIN was pinched back at the start, raced off the pace, passed tired foes down the stretch. SEEKING A SOLDIER tracked the pace four wide, began a slow retreat in the turn. TORPEDO CHARLIE tracked the pace three wide, repositioned along the inside of the stretch but had nothing left to give.
