BOSS OF ALL BOSSES stalked the early pace from the inside, encroached on the lead through the turn to take charge by the quarter, opened up in the final sixteenth while holding off a late drive. FRAN'S STAR was rated along the inside, closed some ground in the upper stretch before tipping out at the eighth for a late drive that came up just short. CALICOCO quickly set a pressured pace, lost some ground in the first turn, continued on up the backstretch, gave way at the quarter, drifted out a few paths down the stretch and weakened to third. BIG CHOPPER settled off the pace, rallied nicely along the inside of the stretch for a competitive finish. SLICK AND FAST trailed through the first turn, trailed again at the half, gained position along the outside of the far turn, improved a bit more down the stretch. PASSING JUDGMENT found position around the middle of the pack, failed to menace. SONYA KNOWS BETTER settled off the pace, made minor improvements. WAYSIDE DRIVE tracked the pace between horses, weakened down the stretch. CYPRESS GOLD raced off the pace, never threatened. BRITTANY'S DREAM moved up to track the pace four wide, began to retreat in the far turn.
