ILLY SIMZ broke swiftly to save ground and set a pressured pace from the inside, began to pull away from the quarter to be clearly the best. Y CITY settled back to be the early trailer, gained position along the inside of the turn, passed foes three wide in the upper stretch to enter the final furlong in second but was no match for the winner. PAULINE'S ANGEL settled off the pace, rallied along the outside of the stretch to be up for the show award. TORREY PINE pressed the early pace, backed off through the turn, tipped out four wide in the stretch to make some improvements. KEEN GAL stalked the early pace three wide, moved up to apply heavy pressure through the turn, retreated down the stretch. DIAMOND TIARA was rated along the inside, split foes at the quarter but was unable to make any progress in the stretch, weakened. D' ARGONAUT raced between rivals in the middle of the pack, backed off through the turn to trail at the quarter, passed retreating foe. MAIZ'N MONEY was fractious in the gate, was rated three wide around the middle of the pack, retreated down the stretch, eased across.
