CREOLE CHROME saved ground into a nice position right behind the pace along the inside, launched a three wide bid at the quarter to enter a duel with TIZ MARY'S COMET going stride for stride down the stretch, put a nose in front just in time. TIZ MARY'S COMET applied heavy pressure to the early pace, took a brief command at the bottom of the turn before being challenged by CREOLE CHROME to duel the whole way down the stretch, grudgingly gave way late for a very gamely finish. AWESOME HAWAIIAN tracked the pace four wide, weakened a bit in the upper stretch before finding best stride late to get up for the show award, no match for dueling leaders. GOLDEN MANE was rated between rivals, made improvements through foes in the stretch, just missed out on a minor award. GO GET TRAE broke alertly to set a pressured pace from the inside, rider pulled hard on the left rein approaching the quarter to keep from drifting out, relinquished the lead at the top of the stretch, flattened out down the stretch. DYNAMITE TONIGHT settled off the pace, advanced three wide through the turn, made no more improvements in the stretch. PARDONED was pinched back at the start, raced off the pace on the inside, never threatened. PERPETUAL PATIENCE trailed throughout, no factor, eased across.
