Footnotes
TOUGH LOVE TORRES took a slight hold just after the start, shadowed the pace until closing in on the lead in the upper stretch to take command by the eighth, came under heavy pressure by TARTARIA in the final stage, drifted out a couple paths but was still able to hold for the victory. TARTARIA tracked the early pace three wide, launched a five wide bid to put heavy pressure on the pace in the final furlong but was held off by the winner. YUMA'S SHADOW was bumped at the start, moved up to track the pace along the inside through the turn, made no bid down the stretch, flattened in the final sixteenth. AZTEC EMPRESS showed good early speed, drifted out in the upper stretch until giving way at the eighth, weakened then on. COUNTRY BELLE bobbled slightly at the start, trailed in the early stages, gained position in the turn, made no more progress in the stretch. MADAME MARKIEVICZ settled off the pace, trailed at the five sixteenths, eased across.
