Footnotes
ORIGINAL SIN opted to be the early trailer, steadily advanced four wide up the backstretch and far turn to enter the stretch in a prominent position, rubbed shoulders with CRISIS MANAGER in the upper stretch until edging clear in the final sixteenth. CRISIS MANAGER stalked the pace three wide through the first turn, split foes under a tight hold at the three quarters before leading briefly, began to relax after the half while pressing the pace, drifted out in the upper stretch to rub shoulders with ORIGINAL SIN, held off by the winner. TRE ITALIANI set a pressured pace from the inside, gave way briefly around the three quarters but quickly reclaimed the lead, continued on under pressure until yielding at the eighth pole. CONTRIBUTION tracked the pace from the inside, took towards the outside of the stretch but failed to respond. SHEPHERD stalked the early pace from the two to three path, backed off to trail at the half, eased across.
