KALIL quickly claimed a ground saving lead before the first turn, continued on until coming under pressure in the far turn, began to open up in the upper stretch and drew clear to be much the best. CANAL STREET was a tad fractious in the gate, settled back to be the early trailer, began making progress in the far turn, angled out five wide in the upper stretch to brush SWEET ALEXIS, found best stride late to earn the place award but was no match for the winner. DESERT GLOW chased the pace along the inside, was unable to keep up with the leader in the stretch and drifted slightly throughout, weakened to third late. JUS PRESS STAR was unhurried at the start, moved up around the middle of the pack, five wide through the first turn, tracked the pace four wide going up the backstretch, flattened out down the stretch. MOLTO VINO settled off the pace on the inside, trailed at the three eighths, closed willingly along the inside of the stretch under left handed urging. BOX OF PICTURES found position around the middle of the pack, angled out seven wide at the top of the stretch, rubbed shoulders between CLEARSUGAR and SWEET ALEXIS around the three sixteenths, angled in slightly around the eighth to make some minor improvements. CLEARSUGAR settled off the pace, took towards the far outside at the quarter, drifted in slightly at the three sixteenths to rub shoulders with BOX OF PICTURES, made minor improvements. SWEET ALEXIS raced in the middle of the pack, brushed out slightly at the three sixteenths by CALAL STREET to rub shoulders with CLEARSUGAR, weakened then on. JUS EVELYN stalked the pace three wide, retreated down the stretch regardless of the riders urging.. SWAMP QUEEN raced off the pace four wide, squeezed back at the three sixteenths and showed little thereafter.
