Footnotes
DE' ANS EIGHTY was bumped at the start, found position around the middle of the pack along the inside, swung out five wide at the quarter to begin to rally, took command at the eighth and switched to left handed urging, drifted out a few paths to brush into MISS MAXIMUS at the sixteenth, just held for the victory. MISS MAXIMUS was bumped at the start, raced off the pace in the early stages, picked off a couple rivals in the turn before launching a seven wide bid in the upper stretch, closed in to apply heavy pressure, brushed by DE'ANS EIGHTY at the sixteenth, just missed. SALLY'S SUPRISE was bumped out slightly by inside foe, trailed in the early stages, began a consistent rally at the top of the stretch to close willingly in the to path, got up for the show award. GOLD PLUS stalked the early pace from the inside, cued through the turn to take charge at the quarter, opened up a couple lengths in the upper stretch but flattened out soon after to give way at the eighth. LAKE MARIE broke very sharply to set the early pace, came under heavy pressure through the turn from GOLD PLUS until ultimately giving way at the quarter, weakened and faded. CHAPARRITA found position around the middle of the pack, backed off through the turn to trail by the quarter, passed tiring foe. UNBRIDLED LUNAR tracked the early pace four wide, took towards the far outside of the stretch and stopped. STEWARDS INQUIRY INVOLVING DE'ANS EIGHTY AND MISS MAXIMUS IN THE STRETCH RESULTED IN NO CHANGE.
