DISCO BALL shadowed the early pace three wide, moved up to press the pace through the turn, dueled with CARAMBASO in the upper stretch before kicking clear in the final furlong to be much the best. SHOW TIME tracked the early pace between foes, moved up through the turn to launch a five wide bid at the top of the stretch, improved for the place award but was no match for the winner. GUANARE tracked the pace from the inside, made no bid, flattened out in the final sixteenth. LUCKY ROMANCE opted to be the early trailer, made minor improvements along the outside of the stretch. CARAMBASO rushed up to claim a ground saving lead, came under heavy pressure in the turn and upper stretch by DISCO BALL, ultimately gave way approaching the eighth, faded then on. BRITERDAYZAHEAD settled off the pace, showed little.
