BEN DREAMING settled not too far off the pace, cued four wide in the far turn, enter the stretch seven wide to duel foes, dug in to get by in the final few strides. BACKGROUND showed good early speed, continued uncontestedly until the top of the stretch, drifted out a few paths while dueling between foes, grudgingly gave way late for a gamely finish. STEEL VENOM led the second flight of horses, closed along the inside of the far turn to enter the stretch in a three way duel, gave way in the final sixteenth. PEOPLE FORCE chased the early pace, had no closing bid, slowly backed off in the final furlong. LITTLE DITTY found position along the inside around the middle of the pack, swung out eight wide in the stretch, failed to rally. MOTOR CITY MENACE settled off the pace on the inside, closed willingly in the upper stretch but flattened out late. CREPE YARNS raced off the pace three wide, made minor improvements between foes in the stretch. SENDERO was pinched back at the start, slowly gained position four wide up the backstretch, took towards the two path of the upper stretch to gain a few more positions but retreated in the final furlong. SOUL COAXING raced four wide in the middle of the pack, took towards the outside of the stretch and retreated then on. RICKY BOBBY settled off the pace, led the third flight of horses up the backstretch, retreated in the stretch. REGIMENTAL ran a wide trailing trip throughout, never factored.
