WHERE Y'AT broke alertly to claim a ground-saving lead, came under heavy pressure from SOMEKINDA MISCHIEF soon after the start, gained some breathing room briefly rounding the turn before being challenged to duel by SULLY down the stretch, rubbed shoulders around the three sixteenth, drove clear in the final furlong. SULLY bobbled slightly at the start, tracked the pace five wide, was cued through the turn to enter the stretch in a duel alongside WHERE Y'AT, rubbed shoulders around the three sixteenths, gave way in the final furlong. SOMEKINDA MISCHIEF moved up to press the pace three wide between rivals soon after the start, brushed with EL MAXIMO around the half, backed off around the quarter, got up for the show award late. PRINCE BEN broke awkwardly and inwardly, shadowed the early pace from the inside, looked to angle out at the quarter but had no room, found room to tip out three wide at the three sixteenths but came up empty. EL MAXIMO was bumped at the start, stalked the pace four wide, brushed by SOMEKINDA MISCHIEF around the half, weakened along the outside of the stretch. WHATEVER bobbled at the start, settled off the pace on the inside, failed to respond in the stretch. ORVILLE'S MAP was bumped at the start, trailed throughout, no factor.
