STEPPING STONES chased the early pace from the inside, launched a bid at the quarter to plow through traffic in the process, slowly reeled in the leader under right handed urging. SHE'S A LIVE WIRE showed good early speed, opened up under right handed encouragement in the upper stretch, switched sticks at the eighth in an attempt to hold off driving foe but could not for a gamely finish. CANDY TALKING found position around the middle of the pack, tipped out four wide at the top of the stretch but was held at bay by dueling leaders. HIDDEN MAP hopped slightly at the start, settled off the pace, trailed at the half, angled out six wide in the stretch and brushed with SUMMERS WITH SONYA, showed a mild rally. SUMMERS WITH SONYA trailed in the early stages, began to advanced four wide through the turn, lost some ground rounding the turn, brushed with HIDDEN MAP at the eighth, passed tiring foe. I B FLYIN settled off the pace, bumped out of the way as STEPPING STONES made a bold move at the quarter, failed to respond to the rider's encouragement down the stretch. DALE'S BLUFF chased the early pace, bumped out by STEPPING STONES at the quarter, weakened then on. STEWARDS INQUIRY REGARDING INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH RESULTED IN THE DISQUALIFICATION OF STEPPING STONES FROM FIRST TO LAST.
