SULTAN'S PRIDE showed speed leaving the start and assumed early command, set a moderate pace while prompted into the turn, shook free into the lane then was challenged into the final furlong, held off DEAL ME TRIPS into deep stretch and dug in late to prevail. DEAL ME TRIPS raced close up to the early pace while just off of the early leading pair, tracked from the inside into the turn then tipped three wide nearing the top of the lane, bid into the final furlong and challenged SULTAN'S PRIDE in the lane, was repelled into the final sixteenth and just held for the place at the wire. BIG MO broke alertly then took back off of the early pace, coaxed three wide nearing the quarter marker, swung four wide to upper stretch and responded into the lane, finished well and just missed for the place, while clear of the rest for the show honors. MAKE ME A DEAL was squeezed at the start and trailed into the turn, angled widest into upper stretch, found his best stride late but could not reel in the leaders in the final sixteenth. DULCE LOREFICHE settled while saving ground into the turn, maintained an inside path to the stretch and did not offer the needed late response. GATO BLUE prominent away from the start, attended to the early pace three then two wide approaching the turn, pressed the pace to the quarter pole, ran in pursuit nearing the furlong grounds, could not keep pace into the late stages and gave way.
