ASTHECOLDWINDBLOWS was prominent early on while inside of STARPORT, was caught in tight and steadied in the opening furlong, tracked the pacesetter while saving ground into the turn, tipped two wide to upper stretch and was set down for the drive, bid while on the left lead into the final furlong, took command into the final sixteenth and drew clear under hand urging in deep stretch. STARPORT broke in at the start and traded bumps with inner rival, showed good early speed and set the pace to the turn, dictated terms from the inside nearing the quarter marker, confronted approaching the furlong grounds, yielded to the winner into the final sixteenth and was second best. YOCKEY'S DRIVETHRU broke out then took up at the start and was off awkwardly, trailed to the turn, saved ground to the quarter marker then rallied along the rail to mid-stretch, could not find more into the final sixteenth but was well clear of the rest for the show. STAR ROCK STAR took back off of the early pace and tracked between rivals along the backstretch, chased two then three wide nearing the top of the lane, was outkicked to mid-stretch and gave way in the final stages. BIG NICKEL was crowded and bumped by outer rival at the start, tracked the early pace four wide along the backstretch, tucked in into the turn and was coaxed two to three wide along the bend, shifted widest into upper stretch, could not keep pace nearing the furlong marker and tired in the drive. BLAME ME SERIOUSLY tracked the early pace from the second flight, was caught in tight while between rivals leaving the half-mile marker and checked into the turn, recovered and chased two wide to the quarter marker, ran in pursuit into the stretch, shied from the crop and ducked out with a furlong to go, was eased in the final stages and walked off. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE ACTIONS OF BLAME ME SERIOUSLY IN THE STRETCH. THE STEWARDS DETERMINED THAT RUNNER CAUSED HIS OWN ISSUES AND SHIED FROM THE CROP IN THE STRETCH AND RULED THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
