I'M MO JOKE broke out a bit leaving the start, was forwardly placed in the early stages and tracked the pace two wide nearing the quarter marker, tipped three wide to upper stretch and was set down for the drive, confronted FROM SCRATCH into the lane and battled that rival into the final sixteenth, shook free in deep stretch and drew clear in the final yards. SOMETHING STRONGER settled in the early stages while never far back, avoided trouble into the turn then chased two to three wide along the bend, swung five wide to upper stretch, responded well in the lane and closed willingly into the final sixteenth, could not impact the winner late but got up in time for the place honors. FROM SCRATCH sent leaving the start, showed good speed and set the pace to the turn, dictated terms to upper stretch and met the bid of I'M MO JOKE into the final furlong, yielded to the winner in the final sixteenth and was nailed on the wire for second. SEPTEMBER MAGIC hopped at the start and was off a bit slowly, recovered to track the early pace from the inside, saved ground into the turn then swung three to four wide to upper stretch, bid into the final furlong, could not find more into the final sixteenth and was outkicked late. MYIYLA settled outside of rivals in the early stages, coaxed four wide into the turn, swung six wide to upper stretch, made a mild rally into the final furlong but needed more late. TEMPTING EVE hustled away from the start, contested the early pace from the inside, saved ground into the turn and chased the pacesetter nearing the quarter pole, ran in pursuit into the stretch, could not find more at the furlong marker and gave way in the final sixteenth. MISS LONELLE broke in at the start and crowded inner rival, settled off of the early pace then was caught in tight and steadied on the run into the turn, coaxed along the inside on the bend, saved ground to upper stretch and did not rally late. SHE'Z THE LAW away in good order, rated just off of the early pace and was well placed approaching the turn, steadied while a bit in tight and two wide into the bend, chased three then four wide to upper stretch, could not keep pace heading to the furlong pole and weakened in the stretch drive. BETTY'S DANCE was pinballed at the start then raced in tight between rivals in the early stages, clipped heels and unseated the jockey along the backstretch, ran loose during the race, was caught following the race and walked off. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE INCIDENT INVOLVING BETTY'S DANCE UNSEATING THE JOCKEY. THE STEWARDS DETERMINED BETTY'S DANCE WAS CAUGHT IN TIGHT ALONG THE BACKSTRETCH AND CLIPPED HEELS AND NO CHANGE WOULD BE MADE.
