RAMBLIN was forced out a bit at the start bumping a rival in the process, settled off the pace, led the second flight up the backstretch, closed in through the far turn before splitting foes in the upper stretch, took command at the final furlong and held firm. PRINCE OF LIGHT quickly took command along the inside, continued up the backstretch until coming under heavy pressure from STARMETAL in the far turn, drifted out going down the stretch giving way to the winner at the eighth, held for the place award. STARMETAL was bumped at the start, tracked the pace four wide, moved up to press the pace in the far turn, lost some ground rounding the far turn before being carried out by PRINCE OF LIGHT continuously down the stretch. FAST CONNECTION came out a little at the start, chased the early pace from the two path between foes, backed off in the far turn, closed some ground in the upper stretch but flattened out late. SYNTAGMA was off slowly, trailed for most, angled out seven wide in the upper stretch in response to left handed urging, switched sticks to straighten out and pass one more rival. OGILVY (IRE) tracked the early pace from the inside, faded in the stretch. PAY HEED steadied just slightly soon after the start when in tight, raced off the pace, trailed by the quarter, took towards the outside of the stretch but showed little.
