DAMASCUS STEEL settled back to be the early trailer, gained position along the inside of the turn before taking to the outside of the stretch, drove well down the stretch to pick off the remaining rivals. SHOW ME THE MUNNY brushed by IMPAVIDO shortly after the start, tracked the pace from the inside, brushed IMPAVIDO at the quarter while launching a three wide bid, drifted out a couple lengths in the upper stretch while driving under left handed encouragement, switched sticks to straighten out in the final furlong, led briefly at the sixteenth before being overtaken by the winner. CHICANERY bumped with a foe at the break, took charge shortly after the start, continued on until giving way to the previous leader at the top of the stretch, bumped by KAZOOM in the upper stretch, led briefly just after the eighth before giving way to a couple of outside driving foes. KAZOOM led for the first furlong until giving way to CHICANERY, chased the pace until making a bid a the quarter to reclaim the lead, shifted in a bit to bump into CHICANERY in the upper stretch, weakened in the final furlong. IMPAVIDO brushed into SHOW ME THE MUNNY shortly after the start, tracked the pace three wide, bumped out by SHOW ME THE MUNNY at the quarter, never switched leads and weakened. LEONARDO bumped lightly with a rival at the start, chased the early pace three wide, backed off the pace in the turn, made no progress in the stretch. MIDNIGHT MISCHIEF was bumped between foes at the start, raced off the pace, trailed just after the half.
