HIGGINS BOAT chased the early pace, moved up through the far turn to enter the stretch dueling with MAYCOCKS BAY, dug in late to put a nose in front just in time. MAYCOCKS BAY quickly set the early pace, came under pressure in the far turn and was challenged to duel by HIGGINS BOAT down the stretch, put a head in front at the sixteenth but got nailed at the wire. LEGALIZE was rated three wide, started to drift in a bit in the upper stretch but was steered back out, showed a mild rally late to earn the show honors. EMMANUEL settled off the pace, brushed with FLYING MOHAWK in the upper stretch, found best stride late to improve position. PRESIDER stumbled at the start, tracked the pace from the inside, closed some ground in the far turn but was out-finished for the minor awards. FLYING MOHAWK raced off the pace, closed some ground five wide in the far turn, brushed with EMMANUEL in the upper stretch, never switched leads and weakened. LUKKA (CHI) settled off the pace, took the first turn outwardly, trailed for the rest.
