Footnotes
MAJORITY OPINION raced close up to the early pace while inside of a pair of rivals, got shuffled back heading to the turn then tracked the leading pair along the bend, angled three wide to upper stretch, re-rallied and took command at the furlong pole, drew off to the final sixteenth and was ridden out to win as much the best. CUSTOM CADILLAC tracked the early pace from the outside, chased six wide to upper stretch, was no match for the winner into the final furlong but stayed on well late and got up in time for the place. LOUISIANA WILDLIFE settled early, saved ground into the turn then to upper stretch, advanced nearing the furlong marker, could not sustain that run to the final sixteenth and was nailed on the wire for second, while clear of the rest for third. COATTAILS showed early speed and contested the pace three deep along the backstretch, dueled two wide into the turn then took the lead into upper stretch, was overtaken nearing the furlong pole and faded. LOUISIANA JESS allowed to settle early, swung five to six wide to upper stretch, needed more in the drive but passed tiring foes in the late stages. BIG NICKEL settled while never far back early on, got caught in tight on the run to the turn, steadied then chased three to four wide to upper stretch, could not find more into the lane and weakened in the final furlong. RUNNING RAGGED tracked the early pace from between rivals, chased three wide into the turn, fanned five wide to upper stretch then put a bit in tight at the three-sixteenths, could not keep pace to the furlong pole and gave way in the late stages. MAYBE EYE'LL CALL was bumped at the start but showed good early speed and assumed command away from the start, set a contested pace to the turn, led to upper stretch then stopped nearing the three-sixteenths, was pulled up at the furlong pole and walked off.
