Footnotes
FIT TO FLY was prominent leaving the start and attended to the early pace, pressed into the turn then took command nearing the quarter marker, led to the furlong pole then drew clear past mid-stretch, drew off into the final sixteenth and was ridden out to win as much the best. ONE TRUE GENTLEMAN got squeezed a bit at the start and was away a step slowly, settled off of the early pace, coaxed two wide along the turn, lacked a final response in the drive but held well late for second. FINSTER hopped at the break and was off a bit slowly, settled off of the early pace, angled four wide to upper stretch, offered a mild late bid, could not get by ONE TRUE GENTLEMAN for second and held well late for third. C'EST MAGNIFIQUE unhurried in the early stages, trailed to the quarter pole then was coaxed two wide to upper stretch, made a mild late rally while navigating traffic into the final sixteenth and just missed for the minor awards. GRAZEN BOY settled in the second flight and tracked the early pace to the turn, chased two then three wide to upper stretch then flattened out in the drive. SIMPLEXITY (IRE) chased the early pace three to four wide, swung five wide to upper stretch, lacked the needed response at the furlong marker and weakened. UPTURNED BRIM settled while saving ground to the turn, lost position nearing the quarter marker, maintained an inside path to the stretch and did not rally late. SATURDAY'S GOLD fractious prior to the start, was away in good order and gained early command, set a pressured pace to the turn, was overtaken nearing the quarter marker, chased FIT TO FLY to mid-stretch then faded in the late stages.
