Footnotes
VESTURE rated nicely off of the early pace and was well placed along the backstretch run, got caught in tight and steadied midway through the bend, found an inside seam into upper stretch and loomed at the three-sixteenths, took command and led to the furlong marker, kept to task under firm urging into the final sixteenth and was ridden out late to win as much the best. SPAMALOT tracked the early pace four wide, chased five wide to upper stretch, was no match for VESTURE into the final furlong but held well in deep stretch for the place honors. SNARE settled in the early going, angled five to six wide to upper stretch, needed more in the lane but ran on late and missed for second, while getting up in time for third. WITHOUT BORDERS allowed to settle in the early stages, made a two wide bid to upper stretch, flattened out in the drive and was outfinished late for the minor awards. INVICTUS showed good early speed and pressed the pace between rivals along the backstretch, attended to the pace into the turn, battled to upper stretch then weakened in the lane. TUSSLING CHARLIE broke through the gate prior to the start, was away in good order, showed speed and set a pressured pace to the turn, dictated terms from the inside nearing the quarter marker, shifted to the two path in the drive and was overtaken at the three-sixteenths, could not keep pace into the final furlong and faded. MISSED THE TURN hopped at the start and was last away from the gate, settled outside of rivals to the turn, trailed to upper stretch and did not factor in the drive. HIT THAT REVIEW (IRE) prominent in the early stages, pressed the pace three deep to the turn, chased three then four wide to upper stretch, could not keep pace into the final furlong and gave way.
