ROYAL HOPE sent to assume early command, set a contested pace to the turn, shook free into the bend then showed the way to the quarter marker, held off STAR APRIORITY into the final furlong, repelled that rival into the final sixteenth and drew clear in deep stretch. STAR APRIORITY tracked the early pace from the outside, bid three wide to upper stretch, ran in pursuit of ROYAL HOPE into the final furlong, was turned away in the final sixteenth and bested the rest. RIGHTEOUS FREEDOM showed speed and contested the early pace from the inside, chased to upper stretch, was outkicked in the final furlong and held for third. YAKETY YAK was bumped then shuffled back at the start, trailed to the turn then made an inside gain to upper stretch, chased the leaders into the final furlong, flattened out late and missed for third. HAPPY SEASON broke in at the start, settled in mid-pack, chased three then four wide to upper stretch, no late rally. SEVEN DIGITS squeezed at the start, got caught in tight and steadied nearing the half-mile marker, chased four to five wide to upper stretch and finished evenly. ROADSIDE BANKER broke in at the start, settled early, coaxed six to seven wide to upper stretch, no factor late. PATEK settled, saved ground into the turn, swung four wide upper, no threat late. I BET YOU WONT settled, swung five to six wide upper, no impact. QUEEN'S KNIGHT took back off of the early pace, lost ground three wide along the turn, empty stretch.
