CHEYENNE MOON opted to be the early trailer, steadily advanced along the inside of the turn before swinging out seven wide at the top of the stretch, picked off remaining foes while on the inside lead to be up by the sixteenths, finally switched leads in the final yards while already being clear. ILLY SIMZ showed good early foot, led in hand until being asked at the quarter, drifted out a couple paths in response to left handed encouragement in the upper stretch, switched sticks to reposition along the inside but grudgingly gave way at the sixteenth, best of the rest. SAFECRACKER SUE was rated along the inside, entered the stretch three wide looking to split a gap that was soon closed off by ILLY SIMZ, changed lanes back towards the inside before being blocked by ILLY SIMZ once more, shifted back out but it was too late to make any progress. SPIRIT TO INSPIRE chased the early pace three wide, shifted out approaching the eighth to avoid ILLY SIMZ, flattened out late. BALLYBAY BEAUTY was placed four wide around the middle of the pack, closed some distance through the turn to enter the stretch in a competitive position, took a slight hold approaching the eighth to avoid SPIRIT TO INSPIRE, ran on down the stretch. LITTLE BIT O STORM settled off the pace before the turn, unable to improve down the stretch despite the encouragement. GREAT FORTUNE trailed shortly after the start, saved some ground through the turn, unable to rally in the stretch.
