TRAPPED tracked the early pace five wide, slowly closed in through the upper stretch before veering in under right handed encouragement at the eighth, took charge soon after and held. GUS'S GAL settled off the pace, continued along the inside of the turn to enter the stretch in a prominent position, dueled briefly with CLOUD NUMBER NINE before giving way to TRAPPED just after the eighth, got up to be the best of the rest. CLOUD NUMBER NINE brushed in by CLASSICAL GAS shortly after the start, chased the early pace along the inside, moved up to vie for command through the turn, took charge briefly entering the stretch before being challenged to duel by GUS'S GAL, conceded at the eighth and flattened out. VINO BELLA settled back to be the early trailer, took towards the outside of the stretch to pass tiring foes. CLASSICAL GAS angled in shortly after the start to brush into CLOUD NUMBER NINE before taking command, continued through the turn under heavy pressure from outside foe while vying with inside rival, lost some ground rounding the turn to enter the stretch six wide while conceding the lead, checked hard by TRAPPED at the eighth, rode out the rest. SKIPPER'S RUBY broke swiftly but opted to press the pace three wide, backed off a bit in the turn to enter the stretch just behind the pace, weakened down the stretch.
