MISTER BANDERAS bumped outside foe at the start, settled off the pace soon after, split foes midway through the the turn, passed one more foe before shifting out four wide in the upper stretch, inhaled the leader to earn the win. STARRY EYED assumed early command, came under pressure from MISTER BANDERAS in the upper stretch, grudgingly gave way approaching the sixteenth, clear of the rest for the place honors. YANKEESTROLGY got pinched back at the start, trailed up the backstretch and through the turn, took towards the outside of the stretch and rallied well to get up for the show award. HALF WAY THERE was rated along the inside, backed off through the turn to trail entering the stretch, passed tired foes. STARPORT was fractious in the gate and broke through before the official start, reloaded and broke inward, stalked the pace three wide until the quarter mile marker, retreated down the stretch. C F SPUNIE STYLE tracked the early pace five wide, began retreating at the quarter.
