YOUNG TUSCAN pressed two wide to quarter, vied to mid-stretch, outkicked into the final sixteenth, won nod place. SUMMERTIME PEPPERS set pace inside, moved to the two path to mid-stretch, yielded into the final sixteenth, missed for place. F T W SLAM caught in tight to the turn, asked four wide upper, vied to mid-stretch, flattened out. OUR DETERMINATION caught in early traffic, settled to the turn, angled five wide upper stretch, no late kick. HAWIJA close up, stalked three wide to turn, chased four wide to mid-stretch, weakened final furlong. SOPHIE'S PAINTER rated early, asked five wide upper stretch, no late rally. AMPITUP threw head, reared start, swung six to seven wide quarter pole, no factor lane. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE START INVOLVING AMPITUP. THE STEWARDS DETERMINED THAT RUNNER CAUSED HIS OWN ISSUES AT THE START, AND NO CHANGE WOULD BE MADE.
