MOONIE PIE settled inside, well placed to the half, navigated traffic to upper stretch then got through nearing the furlong marker, took command to the final sixteenth and drew clear late. FACTOR OF TIME sent, set moderate pace to the quarter, drifted out nearing mid-stretch, met the bid of MOONIE PIE to the final sixteenth, yielded to the winner in deep stretch, held place. PRECIOUS MONEY off step slow, tracked between two wide to the half, bid three wide to upper stretch, outkicked into the final sixteenth, missed for the place, clear for the show. PASILA settled inside, angled three to four wide upper, flattened out in the lane. BECKY'SGOTTAHAVEIT settled two wide, coaxed inside to quarter pole, no late kick. THUNDERING DESIRE took back, tracked three to four wide to quarter, no late rally. EVE OF EVE close up early on, stalked pace to half, caught in tight upper stretch, clipped heels and fell nearing the furlong grounds, walked off. SUE'S LITTLE ZING crowded at the start, tracked three wide to half, gave way far turn, fell over a fallen rival nearing mid-stretch, walked off. THE STEWARDS CONDUCTED AN INQUIRY INTO THE STRETCH RUN. THE STEWARDS DETERMINED FACTOR OF TIME DRIFTED OUT NEARING MID-STRETCH, PUTTING MOONIE PIE IN TIGHT AT THAT STATION, WHO THEN IN TURN PUT EVE OF EVE IN TIGHT AND CAUSED THAT RIVAL TO CLIP HEELS AND FALL AT THE FURLONG MARKER. THE STEWARDS DISQUALIFIED MOONIE PIE FROM FIRST, AND PLACED THAT RUNNER FIFTH, AND DISQUALIFIED FACTOR OF TIME FROM SECOND, AND PLACED THAT RUNNER SIXTH, FOR CAUSING INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH.
