Footnotes
WATERING off step slow to begin, tracked four wide to upper stretch, responded well into the drive, vied for the lead into the final furlong, outfinished the game runner-up and proved best late. CRUISING THE TOWN rated early, tracked the early pace between foes and two to three wide, bid into the stretch and vied at the furlong marker, battled WATERING into the final sixteenth, was gamely bested late and was well clear for second. SPIRIT TO INSPIRE hustled away from the start, stalked two wide to the quarter marker, vied to mid-stretch, yielded to the top pair late and held for third. BALLYBAY BEAUTY broke out, off slow, settled inside, angled out into upper stretch, needed more late and was outfinished for third. KANCANCUTIE took back, tracked the early pace from the inside, saved ground to upper stretch, was shut off at the furlong pole and could not muster a final rally. TWENTY FOUR GRAND hard sent leaving the start, set pace to the quarter pole, dug in to mid-stretch then gave way. SMOOCHIE BOO settled to turn, coaxed two wide to upper stretch, no late response. SAFECRACKER SUE hard sent leaving the start, tracked early pace outside, coaxed three to four wide to upper stretch, no late bid.
