CLASSIC TAP assumed early command, set a modest pace to the far turn, met bid of SWERVE at mid-stretch, dug in late, held well to the wire. SWERVE settled inside, well placed into the far turn, tipped out and bid between rivals at the furlong marker, battled to the final sixteenth, kept at bay late, clear second. PREPPED settled in the two path to the backstretch, asked for run at the quarter pole, dove inside at mid-stretch, gaining late, held for third. ROYAL CAUSEWAY unhurried to the half, swung widest at upper stretch, came on late, missed third. TATERPIE forwardly placed early, tracked three wide to the half-mile, chased four wide upper stretch, flattened out. ROAD TRIPPIN settled to the backstretch run, angled four to five wide upper stretch, no late rally. TRANQUILLO close up to the early pace, stalked to the half-mile, chased three wide upper stretch, weakened. MOUNT VERNON bit rank early, settled to the backstretch run, trailed into the far turn then was caught in traffic to upper stretch, needed more late and finished evenly. FAST CONNECTION settled three wide to the first turn, coaxed four wide along the backstretch run, outkicked upper stretch, tired in the drive.
