Supplemental nominations of $2,000 will be accepted at time of entry which shall include all fees . $100,000 Guaranteed of which 60% to the winner, 20% to second, 11% to third, 6% to fourth and 3% to fifth. Weight: Three Year Olds 121 lbs. Older 124 lbs. Non-winners of a Sweepstakes at a mile or over in 2025 allowed 2 lbs., $15,000 twice at a mile oro ver since June 20, 2025, allowed 4 lbs. One such race since then allowed 6 lbs. (Maiden and Claiming Races Not Considered in Allowances) Starters to be named through the entry box by the usual time of closing. The John Valene Memorial Stakes will be limii ted to fourteen (14) starters. First preference to stakes winners, second preference to horses that have accumulated the highest total earnings in 2025 and then horses with the highest lifetime earnings. Any horse excluded from running because of the afor ementioned preference shall be refunded the entry fee or supplementary nomination fee if applicable. RISING INFLATION settled back to race off the pace between rivals, loomed along the inside of the far to be up to duel with the leader at the quarter, pulled away in the final furlong and held firm. NORAH G tracked the early pace three wide, moved up to press the pace through the far turn, took a brief command before being challenged to duel by inside foe at the quarter, gave way in the final furlong. CLEARLY A TEST opted to race not too far behind the pace, moved up to be immediately behind the pace through the far turn before making a four wide bid at the quarter but was held at bay. HIGHLY WICKED bobbled at the start, raced off the pace four wide, could not close any ground. PICKIN ANA GRINNIN rushed to the lead to show good early speed, ceded the lead in the far turn and retreated in the stretch. FOR HARPER trailed throughout, no factor.
