Footnotes
TEXAS SPLURGE settled back to be the early trailer, loomed along the outside of the far turn to press the pace going into the stretch, found a late burst of energy to be the first to put a head across the wire. PRINCE DAY was quick to set a pressured pace from the two path, pulled away slightly in the far turn before being challenged by TEXAS SPLURGE in the stretch, held a narrow lead for most of the stretch until getting nailed at the wire. MAX S raced in the middle of the pack through the first turn, settled back to be off the pace along the inside through the far turn, swung out five wide in the stretch to improve for the show award. GOLD GUNNER tracked the pace through the first turn and backstretch, attempted to split foes going into the far turn but was pinched back to trail entering the stretch, passed tiring rivals. TITANIUM MAN tracked the pace four wide, retreated in the stretch. EL MAXIMO pressed the early pace along the inside, backed off behind the pace in the far turn, retreated in the stretch. PENEI raced off the pace between foes, angled out four wide entering the stretch, trailed in the final furlong.
