SMASH IT moved up along the inside to set the pace, entered the stretch dueling with VOILA MAGIC, began to edge clear until being challenged by a late drive from DAPPER MOON, just held. DAPPER MOON sat behind the pace on the inside, backed off a few lengths in the turn, made a five wide bid at the eighth to show a big surge that barely missed. VOILA MAGIC stalked the pace three wide, moved up through the turn to enter the stretch dueling with SMASH IT, out-finished by rivals. SOUNDS LIKE POWER raced in the middle of the pack between rivals, entered the stretch four wide to show a mild rally, needed more. SPEIGHTFUL ONE pressured the early pace in the two path, backed off a bit in the turn, lost crop approaching the three sixteenths, faded. AVERY'S GEM was pinched back at the start, raced off the pace, gained position in the upper stretch but weakened soon after. LATE SEPTEMBER settled off the pace on the inside, failed to menace. SONO raced off the pace, trailed through the turn, passed tired foe. POP'S PEPPYSTEPER raced five wide in the middle of the pack, retreated to trail by the eighth.
